Summary

Cooking tries the connected Mac plus discovered peers. Recipe pages, images, variants, and video stay on those machines.

Result

If one peer lacks the cooking catalog, the page falls back to another online Mac. The hosted app still never receives cooking catalogs or files.

Lesson

A recipe host is not a CDN. Keep bytes on the machines I reach.
